Community of Practice – Armed Forces

itSMF UK are pleased and proud to announce that in late 2022 we signed the Armed Forces Covenant (further details here), which recognises the contribution and sacrifice made by service personnel, reservists, veterans, the cadet movement and military families in defending our freedoms as a nation.

We have seen the transferrable skills those with a military background can bring into our industry, and we want promote service management as a career path and support those embarking on that journey.

As part of our commitment as a Forces Friendly organisation, itSMF UK are now launching an Armed Forces Community of Practice (CoP) for members with a military connection, providing the opportunity to network, support one another, and attend focused events with guest presenters (online and in-person).

This is the very first Armed Forces Community of Practice event and we’d like to invite those interested to help us define, shape and consider the outcomes we aim to produce.

• Does your organisation have an Armed Forces affiliation, or an interest in creating one?
• Are you interested in helping to form a supportive community of military personnel and veterans within itSMF UK?
