Workshop – ISO/IEC 20000: the Standard for Service Management
December 13, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
ISO/IEC 20000 is a standard for service management that can be applied to IT and non-IT services and is already used around the world.
Forget the arguments about which framework/best practice guidance to use. ISO/IEC 20000 can be supported by ITIL, VeriSM, Devops, IT4IT, and any other framework. The third edition of the standard is to be published in Q4 of 2018 and will be launched at itSMF UK’s annual conference by Lynda Cooper, the project editor and world-wide expert for the standard
Do you already use ISO/IEC 20000 and want to find out about what is new? Do you want to find out what ISO/IEC 20000 is? Are you sceptical about the use of standards and want a chance to listen to why they are useful? Does your organisation need to improve its services? Does your organisation need to prove through certification that it can consistently deliver high quality services?
What will it involve?
This workshop will provides a full review of the revised standard covering:
- Why the revision was needed and how it addresses today’s business and service management challenges
- The benefits of the standard and of the revision
- What is new, changed or removed
- The timeline for transition for organisations already certified.
Lynda will use her experience of supporting many organisations to gain certification to ISO/IEC 20000 to give practical examples of its use and benefits. Use this event to learn and take back to your organisation the information to support them on their journey to gaining the benefits of the updated ISO/IEC 20000 standard.
