Webinar – Getting started with ITIL 4

ITIL 4 has been out for two years, and has introduced many new concepts to practitioners and organisations – value streams, practices, the service value system, and many, many more.

Over the last 20 months, AXELOS’ research has revealed three distinct (but related) approaches organisations typically use to adapt their ways of working to the latest guidance. The approaches reflect the relative maturity, risk appetite, and investment available to evolve and improve, creating a beautiful example of ITIL 4’s Guiding Principle, “Start where you are”.

Join Akshay Anand (Product Ambassador, ITIL) for this webinar as he highlights these approaches and the relative merits of each – including time for a short Q&A session at the end of the event.

Akshay will also briefly discuss the timeline recently provided for the retirement of ITIL v3 certification by the end of 2021. AXELOS is taking a phased approach to discontinuing ITIL v3, allowing customers sufficient time to transition to the latest version of the ITIL framework.

Presenter

Akshay Anand is a Product Ambassador at AXELOS, working on the development of new guidance and research within the IT Service Management (ITSM) portfolio. He is a Lead Architect of ITIL 4 and has written guidance across multiple ITIL 4 publications. He previously advised Fortune 100 clients on how to improve their ITSM capabilities, implemented toolsets such as Remedy and ServiceNow, and headed up global ITSM activities at Macmillan Publishing.

More recently, Akshay has focused on bringing together Agile development teams and ITSM professionals to address challenges posed by emerging technologies and market shifts, and has occasionally been spotted tweeting as @bloreboy.
