IT Asset Management (ITAM) has evolved to become a core element within the service management portfolio of best practice. Though often neglected or misunderstood by senior management, ITAM underpins the delivery of IT services, focusing on everything from hardware procurement to licensing and software management, and with a big impact on risk and change management within the enterprise.
This SM Forum offers a very practical view of ITAM, with two case studies that demonstrate the essentials of asset management at different levels of maturity. The event also considers the current state of ITAM within the broader service management environment, and looks at the latest developments in ITAM tooling.
