I will help you recognise the warning signs in yourself and others and inspire you with ideas on how to prevent burnout.

Menopause and Mental Health Helen Morris, The Aware Mind

In this session I explore and discover how and why menopause has a major impact on women’s mental health and why this is not just a women’s problem. All women will experience menopause, but you may be unaware of what symptoms are likely to affect you. I also consider what we can all do to support women in this period of their lives, and whether the impact is small or large… because it might be you, your colleague or your family member affected. It is important to recognise the potential impact on your organisation, based on your demographics, and I will review some of the ways that your organisation can be recognised as a menopause-friendly culture.

BIO:

Helen Morris has been working in IT since 1984, specialising in Service Management for the last 25 years, as a consultant and trainer of all subjects ‘service management’. As retirement looms, Helen has begun to diversify her skills into other areas. Following her qualification in counselling and psychology, and training as a Mindfulness Teacher, she began to draw on her own health experiences and recognised the need for education relating to menopause. Qualifying as an Executive Menopause Coach with the Katherine Colas Academy, she has been a leader in menopause education, authoring publications on the Bookboon corporate library.
