SIG Focus Day – What does ITIL 4 mean for Service Transition?

18 March, 2020, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

EVENT POSTPONED

ITIL® 4 represents a paradigm shift for the best practice for IT service management. The service value system, the service value chain, guiding principles…the list of the ‘new’ is impressive and practical. It leaves us with the age-old question of “Why and how do we transition to this new way of working?”

This Special Interest Group (SIG) focus day will take place on the 18th March at Content & Code, Fenchurch Street, London. We will explore how the latest evolution of ITSM best practice reshapes the role of Service Transition. The main objective is to pull together enough content to write a white paper “ITIL 4: What does it Mean for Service Transition?”

Who is it for?

All itSMF UK members.

Agenda

During the day we will precis the key areas of ITIL 4 and consider how Service Transition can utilise the latest best practice guidance.

We will base our day around the following topics: (List not Exhaustive)
• Service Transition and the 7 Guiding Principles
• How Service Transition fits into the 4 Dimensions of Service Management
• The Service Value Chain Activity: Design & Transition
• ITIL v3 to ITIL 4 – The shift from processes to practices and where Service Transition fits in.

How much does it cost?

This event is free for all itSMF UK members.
