Putting Knowledge Management on the map!

itSMF UK are delighted to welcome Matt Hall from Quilter and Stin Mattu from Upland Software as the presenters for our next online Member Meet-up event – facilitated by Member Group Chair Chris Kingsbury.

Presentation 1
Matt Hall is responsible for IT End User Experience at Quilter and currently leads a team of 40 service desk and deskside support technicians. With 25 years’ IT experience, Matt previously spent 20 years working for IBM in various service management roles for large managed services customers.

Having recently kicked off Quilter’s Knowledge Management initiative, Matt will present details of the team’s progress to date and share 3 key questions which they’d like to discuss with other members in attendance:

1. How do you build a knowledge management strategy in a transforming IT function?
2. How do you develop a sustainable knowledge culture?
3. What are the effective ways to maintain content currency?

Presentation 2
Stin Mattu is a self-confessed knowledge geek with experience in implementing knowledge strategies. His super power would be understanding use cases & finding creative ways to overcome business challenges, something that he’s done successfully in multiple industries over the past 2 decades.

No matter where you are on your knowledge management journey, there are 3 simple principles that can help keep you on the road to success. In this presentation, Stin will take you through each principle and offer some food for thought on how you can apply these to your knowledge management strategy.  He’ll also provide his thoughts in relation to the questions posed during Matt’s presentation.

Breakout discussion
Once the presentations have concluded, we’ll invite attendees to break out into two groups to discuss the topics and questions raised.  Matt will lead one breakout group for those wishing to share experience relating to his questions and Stin will lead the second for those looking to discuss general knowledge management aspects.

A brief summary of the key discussion/learning points from each breakout group will be shared before bringing the event to a close.
