Community of Practice – Design and Transition Meeting
May 18, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
itSMF UK’s Communities of Practice (CoPs) provide the opportunity to bring together like-minded professionals to focus on areas of common interest. Our CoPs allow members to explore new ideas, challenge and discuss Service Management principles, practices, toolsets and frameworks. If you have not heard of the Communities of Practice before or have yet to formally volunteer for a specific group, please click here for additional information.
The purpose of this community is to support the use of UX/CX Design and Service Design and consider ways to close the gap between the various disciplines through Transition.
ITIL® 4 represents a paradigm shift for the best practice for IT service management. The service value system, the service value chain, guiding principles…the list of the ‘new’ is impressive and practical. It leaves us with the age-old question of “Why and how do we transition to this new way of working?”
During this Design and Transition COP (Community of Practice) virtual meeting, we will explore how the latest evolution of ITSM best practice reshapes the role of Service Design & Transition. We will present areas of ITIL 4 and consider how Service Design and Transition can utilise the latest best practice guidance and will base the meeting around the following topics: (List not Exhaustive)
• Service Design/Service Transition and the 7 Guiding Principles
• How Service Transition fits into the 4 Dimensions of Service Management
• The Service Value Chain Activity: Design & Transition
• ITIL v3 to ITIL 4 – The shift from processes to practices and where Service Transition & Service Design fits in
This event will be delivered using TBC.
