Webinar – How do ITIL 4 and ISO/IEC 20000 fit together?

ITIL 4 and the ISO/IEC 20000 standard are both designed to support the service management community, but in slightly different ways. ITIL 4 is detailed best practice guidance, underpinned by an extensive qualification scheme. ISO/IEC 20000 Part 1 specifies 217 requirements for service management that an organisation must meet in order to be certified.

But whether your organisation seeks certification or not, there is now much common ground between ITIL and ISO 20k that is worth a closer look. Indeed, as ISO/IEC 20000-1 specifies the critical aspects of service management, it can be used as an approach to navigate through the critical parts of service management frameworks such as ITIL. Moreover, Part 11 of the standard, published last September, highlights the features that ISO20k and ITIL have in common and relationship between the two.

In this webinar, Lynda Cooper offers an introduction to Part 11 of the standard and explains how to get the best from both sources of guidance. She also explains how ISO/IEC 20000 can be of great value even for those not following the certification route.
