Webinar – Getting started with Site Reliability Engineering
June 19, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Somebody once told me that a Site Reliability Engineer’s job was to make themselves redundant through automation. Google engineers will tell you that Site Reliability Engineering is an implementation of DevOps with a clear set of practices. Site Reliability Engineering practices talk about Toil, Service Level Indicators, Service Level Objectives and Error Budgets. What does all this mean? Where can I start to understand it? Can some of the principles be adopted without tortuous upheaval?
Let’s see in this “Getting started with Site Reliability Engineering” webinar!
Barry Corless is a former Chair of itSMF UK and greatly respected service management specialist. He has written and delivered supplier management education for both commercial training companies and higher education courses. He was also a contributory author to the original version of the Service Integration and Management (SIAM) guidelines.
He draws on his experiences ranging from retail, public sector, and IT service provider to illustrate good practices and ways or working.
