Who We Are ?

About Us

itSMF UK is the country’s leading membership association for service management professionals – with members ranging from individual service management practitioners to large multinational organisations.

We have spent the last three decades helping ITSM professionals both to be better and to do better. As the first of an international network of itSMF chapters, it has followed a path of enriching the working lives of its members, as well as those who benefit from its events, training and guidance, and those recognised by its annual awards.

itSMF UK has also changed with the times, reflecting both the desire for greater professionalism in the ITSM community and the use of ITSM thinking, principles, best practices, and technology outside the IT world.

Thus, new products and services have been created that are designed to improve the capabilities of both ITSM professionals and service managers working across different business disciplines, such as human resources and facilities. Recognising the fact that service management is not just an IT capability, it’s an organisational capability.

Our Members

Our members range from large multinational companies to small firms working across the commercial, public, and not-for-profit sectors, from a wide cross-section of organisations, including ITSM suppliers and service providers; user organisations; training companies and academia; consultancy, standards and practice bodies; as well as independent professionals. Altogether, we have over 150 member organisations covering 5,000+ individuals.
