This category concentrates on the IT Professional’s wider understanding of IT and the IT industry, including emerging technologies and trends, in addition to their technical knowledge regarding specific technologies, products and services. 

Accreditation purpose

Demonstrate your dedication to your industry through up-to-date, role-appropriate knowledge and application of technical paradigms and how they enable business.

Method of validation

For more technical roles, e.g. service desk analysts and engineers, vendor-defined certification paths such as Microsoft Certified Professional, Cisco Career Certifications.

For more business / leadership-oriented roles, referee-based validation is necessary to support claims of technical comprehension and application appropriate to your role, e.g. implemented a migration from one service to another, effectively front a service (and its ups and downs) to a customer, effective incident management etc.
