The document focuses on a typical programme lifecycle from the perspective of a Managed Service Provider, and highlights the areas that would benefit from Process Automation, both from the Managed Service Provider and the customer's point of view. The document will also look at how ITIL is impacted by Process Automation and the benefits that can be achieved through its implementation.
Although targeted at the customer, this document will provide an essential reference for service providers as it demonstrates the future of an outsourcing programme. That is, through Process Automation it is possible to achieve what has historically been deemed the impossible; deliver an improved service for a reduced cost.
