Theme for the day: Internal Account/Relationship Management

The next meeting will focus on Internal Account / Relationship Management and provide opportunities for personal networking.

This theme reflects the feedback from the meetings during 2011 and topics that have been widely requested and, given the popularity of break-out sessions, some time will be allocated to break out sessions / group discussions.

David Jenkins from HMRC will be giving a presentation on "Giving Users a Voice"
why we survey, who we survey, what questions we include, how we analyse and present the results, what we do with the results, what difference it makes and how we positively complete the communication loop back to those who were sent a survey to complete.

Deborah Pitt from Land Registry will also be giving a presentation on ‘The changing IT climate in Land Registry’
The last few years have been a time of change for Land Registry. With the housing market in the doldrums we needed to think smarter and outside the box. We have partnerships with other organisations, such as Steria, and are starting to host IT systems for other public sector providers. We have challenged ourselves by going for ISO20000 (and achieving it!). We have extended our services and responded to the new Government Policy of publishing data for free.

We are therefore looking for people to talk on the main topics which could include, for example:

• Internal Account/Relationship Management
• Output based SLAs
• Business Services Catalogue
• End User Surveys

The break out session will ask delegates to consider and discuss internal Customer interfaces and processes in use around the Region and their maturity, which will give further opportunities for networking within the Region outside of the meeting – so do come prepared for this.

I have now been the Chair of this Regional Group since 2005 (where coincidentally my first meeting as Chair was at Land Registry) and it is now time to hand over this responsibility to Steve Manders, so this will be my last meeting in this role.
