Event Title
Member Event - Glasgow
Event Type
Regional
Event Description
Theme: "Understanding relationships with the Business and Suppliers in order to improve our IT Services"
Building upon the themes of our recent meetings and based upon feedback from you, our members, this regional will be focussing on Business Relationship and Supplier Relationship Management.
Through a mix of presentations and an interactive workshop we will explore our relationships with Customers and Suppliers and discover how these relationships can influence the quality of services and the value they deliver to the Business.
Ian Whyte from Bishops Beech Ltd will be giving a presentation on Supplier Relationship Management
We all need and rely on our suppliers, but how should we arrange things for the mutual benefit of both parties?
Ian will present his views on how to get the best out of the supplier/customer relationship.
Mark Temple from University of Glasgow will also be giving a presentation on Service Improvement – a second instalment
An outline of changes which the University has made to its structure which have in turn helped streamline and improve the provision of IT services – reducing duplication of effort, with the goal of freeing up staff to concentrate on supporting learning, teaching and research
A Business Relationship Management Interactive Workshop will be run by Matthew Burrows from BSM Impact Ltd
Matthew Burrows will lead a practical workshop to look at Business Relationship Management (BRM) and how attendees can make it work in their organisations. Bring your questions, current challenges and success stories, to share with the group – in return you’ll get expert pragmatic advice and guidance based on real experience rather than pure academic theory.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Regards
Peter Kirkwood
