What does it mean to be a good Digital leader and does that differ from good leadership?
To answer this, we've a put together a panel consisting of leadership experts from ITSMF UK, British Computer Society (BCS), and Service Desk Institute (SDI). The panel will bring their own perspectives to what great leadership is, as well as answering questions from attendees.
In a Service Management industry first, we have brought together Jon Buttriss (CEO, BCS Learning and Development), Matt Greening (Auditor and Consultant, SDI) and our very own Barclay Rae (CEO) to help understand where technology leadership is going and what are the critical leadership questions that need answering.
Whilst most in technology management appreciate that we are in a time of increasing complexity (Cloud, Agile, Automation) and must adapt our working practices (DevOps, Business Relationship Management, Lean), it’s not always clear who will lead these changes and how they make it happen. The aim of this event is to ask what we need to do and provide some answers to how leaders will need to function in the near future.
Jon Buttriss – Jon is CEO of BCS Learning & Development Ltd and a Fellow of BCS. Jon started his career as a programmer before moving into the financial industry where he dramatically increased the efficiency of the retail branch network. Latterly Jon was MD at REED Learning where he was able to use his analysis, leadership and portfolio skills to successfully deliver significant savings through outsourcing contracts with major FTSE companies. Jon is passionate and driven to create team and organisational success.
Barclay Rae – Barclay is an experienced ITSM consultant, analyst and writer. Barclay is currently working as CEO for ITSMF UK. He has worked on approximately 500 ITSM projects over the last 25 years, and writes blogs, research and white papers on ITSM topics for a variety of industry organisations and vendors. He has worked for a number of ITSM organisations, and he delivers strategic ITSM consultancy, as well as media analyst services to the ITSM industry.
Dave Wright – David is an award-winning leader with 20 years of BPO and ITO service experience ranging from line to service management to business strategy.
