There are still many different opinions about the best way to approach service integration. This seminar brings together a wide range of perspectives on SIAM, from tooling to supplier management to SLM and Transition.

Tooling up for SIAM

Steve Morgan, Syniad IT solutions

Steve looks at some of the key areas that need to be considered in any SIAM strategy - such as SAM and data discovery, event management, capacity and configuration management and reporting - and how tools can best be deployed to support these functions. This includes some examples of models for SIAM as well as practical lessons learned from some challenging multi-source projects.

Dave Armes

Making Service Integration Work

Dave Armes and Kevin Baxter, BG-Group

BG-Group has a heavily outsourced environment which delivers services to 13,000 users in six continents. The Shared Services function was created in 2014 to bring together those functions required to make service integration a reality, and has since used a dynamic programme of CSI to deliver transformational results in service metrics and customer satisfaction. This session will detail the key elements of that success and the underpinning principles which have driven the design and operation of the service.
