Service design is the stage in the service lifecycle that turns a service strategy into a plan for delivering business objectives. Get the design right and the following stages will flow much more smoothly for service users and providers alike. Behind this top-level view lie a whole range of processes and considerations that need to be carefully considered - availability and capacity management, service catalogue management, setting realistic and achievable service levels and, increasingly, planning for multiple suppliers.

This Masterclass, facilitated by Service Design Consultant Karen Brusch, ITSMF UK's Contributor of the Year, helps attendees to gain a clear understanding of the role and importance of service design. Issues that will be addressed include:

·         What drives the design?

·         Why decision making techniques are so important for requirements

·         The challenge of moving to holistic service design

·         Are you ready for the digital age?
