ITSMF Local - evening networking event in York
Tell a Friend About This EventTell a Friend

ITSMF Local meetings are a new initiative enabling people to meet up for a couple of hours after work, for a focused networking event. Anyone is welcome (including non-members) ... but living or working locally is a distinct advantage. For this event, our hosts, Your Bike Shed ( will help us look at how IT services can support the business effectively. What does fixing a bike or serving a cup of coffee have to say to the world of IT Service Management?

When: 4th November 2014
Where: Your Bike Shed
148 Micklegate
York, Yorkshire  YO1 6JX
United Kingdom
Contact: ITSMF UK Events

Back in May we held a first ITSMF UK Local event in York. This was well received and we are going to hold another one, also in York. This will be held at Your Bike Shed, and it will be on Tuesday 4th November, between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Your Bike Shed is normally closed to the general public in the evening, but will be open for this ITSMF Local.

The event is free to both members and non-members in York and the surrounding area who work in IT Service Management. It provides an opportunity to meet with fellow professionals and to learn and share how best to apply techniques from ITIL and other frameworks. Light refreshments will be provided, courtesy of IT Training Zone.

The intention is to foster a local ITSM community, holding regular ITSMF UK Local networking events and inviting guest speakers to talk on topics of interest. At this meeting we'll be looking at the business perspective  with some help from our hosts, Your Bike Shop.

The format of the event will be: welcome and introductions, then a short presentation and discussion on providing effective business focused support, followed by networking and refreshments.

We look forward to seeing you there!
