Software Asset Management is often neglected and misunderstood as a discipline, yet it has major finance and governance implications for the business. This masterclass, led by ITAM consultant Martin Thompson and Service Transition SIG vice chair Vawns Guest, helps participants to understand how they can exploit SAM more effectively to reduce costs and improve the way that software is managed within their environment

This is an interactive session whereby those with issues or interest around SAM can discuss openly in confidential setting with peers.

Martin will start the day with a brief introduction to SAM best practices and his approach to ‘Audit Readiness’. Then open the floor to those attending to discuss individual issues.

This Masterclass is scenario driven – you bring your scenarios and together you work through them. This is a great opportunity to gain access to some shared knowledge from your peers on how to address issues specific to you. Martin is confident you’ll learn from other people’s scenarios as well as your own. Chatham House / Confidentiality rules apply
