New books from itSMF UK
itSMF UK announced two exciting new books at this year's Conference.
The ITIL V3 Foundation Handbook, co-branded with TSO, was written by chapter members Simon Adams, Alison Cartlidge, Ashley Hanna, Stuart Rance, John Sowerby and John Windebank. The book works on two levels: as a pocket-sized management overview of ITIL V3 and as a handy revision aid for those working towards the Foundation qualification. It uses a range of symbols throughout the text to indicate which processes and functions are covered in most detail within the syllabus, with cross-references to the core books for more information.
itSMF UK's second new title is 'Service Level Management - a Practitioner's Guide'. Written by the Service Level Management Special Interest Group under the chairmanship of Steve Morgan of KPMG, this is the first of a new series of concise guides that draw on the expertise of our SIGs. Offering a practical, experience-based approach to the subject matter, the guide discusses (among other things) the best way to design an SLM roadmap and implementation project plan, compile a service catalogue, and put together service level agreements, with templates and supporting material provided on an accompanying CD.
Both titles are available from the Bookshop.
