The ITIL Lifecycle Publication Suite - Choosing the correct format

The new ITIL v3 (Service Lifecycle) publications are available in several formats, and many itSMF members have asked for some guidance on selecting the right one.

Below are some frequently asked questions about the publications.

What versions of the ITIL Lifecycle Publication Suite are available?

First of all, the five books Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement can be obtained in hard copy format roughly 5kg in weight (for the set) and 280mm x 216mm in size.

The hard copies can be purchased individually from itSMF at Â£85 each (list price) or Â£299 for all five. (NOTE: itSMF members are entitled to 15% discount on all the prices quoted in these guidelines. Remember to log in when you visit the Bookstore.)

Two electronic versions are also available: the PDF-based e-book and the on-line annual subscription. There is no CD-ROM version.
