itSMF UK CEO Keith Aldis steps down
Keith Aldis has notified the itSMF UK Management Board of his intention to step down as its Chief Executive on 31st August 2010. Mr. Aldis has cited the need to meet growing personal and family commitments, as well as progressing his other business interests as the main reasons.
The itSMF UK's Management Board is saddened to see Keith depart but fully respect and support his decision. They acknowledge his dedication, commitment and contribution to the organisation and to the movement and wish him every success for the future.
During his time with the itSMF, Keith has supported the growth of the movement, overseen improvements to itSMF International and itSMF UK's commercial wellbeing and has helped to ensure that the governance of the organisation has been properly updated, documented and delivered. The UK Management Board particularly thanks Keith for his work in ensuring the success of the UK Chapter during the global economic downturn.
From 1st August 2010, current itSMF UK Management Board member Rosemary Gurney will become Acting CEO, supported by Ben Clacy as Deputy CEO to manage the transition period. Rosemary will conduct a review targeted at the appointment of a new leader for the organisation by January 2011. Ben will step up from his current role to assume responsibility for the day to day running of itSMF UK.
