Over the last 5 years, the use of the private and increasingly the social network has exponentially increased as a tool for wider sales, marketing and general informational communication.
There has been a growing recognition that the Discussion forums (www.itsmf.co.uk/forum) within the itSMF UK Web site, secure and for members in certain areas, free access in others was a very useful mechanism to "Discuss" any relevant questions or points of interest, however the question was raised that LinkedIn was universally used now by business as a tool for networking professionally.
Also Twitter and business based groups on Facebook were being more widely used so itSMF UK has created accounts/groups as a medium for additional information and discussion.
