New appointments to itSMF UK Board

At the Annual General Meeting of itSMF UK on 8^th November, Barry Corless stepped down as Chair of the organisation after more than three years at the helm. He was succeeded by Vice Chair Colin Rudd, a well known figure in the itSMF UK community since its inception.

John Windebank, currently International Director responsible for the UK chapter's relationships with other parts of itSMF and the global ITSM community, replaces Colin as Vice Chair.

Colin thanked Barry for his hard work and leadership in recent years, and said he was looking forward to building on the success of the organisation, and helping to raise its public profie.

Also stepping down after two terms in office were Steve Straker, Chair of the Services ESC, who has been instrumental in developing our flourishing network of regional and special interest groups; and Ashley Hanna, Publications ESC Chair and winner of last year's Paul Rappaport life-time achievement award.

They were succeeded respectively by Rosemary Gurney, former Qualifications and Certification ESC Chair who returns to the Board after a short break; and John Sowerby, who has been a very active member of the Publications ESC for a number of years.

Finance Director Alan Thomson, Q&C ESC Chair Dave Jones, and People & Education ESC Chair Matthew Burrows continue for another year on the Management Board, while Events Chair Don Page was re-elected for a second term.
