Below are the biographies for the two candidates up for election for the London and South East Regional Vice Chair. Please read them and then click on the link at the bottom to vote.

I have been involved within the Service Management world for 15 years as a consultant in Europe and North America. I have served on the itSMF UK Management committee as the chair of the events committee. My focus is the day to day issues that organisations face in delivering Service Management ITIL V3 Manager, ISO 20k auditor, with over 20 years Service Management experience.

I have been involved with the itSMF UK since the last century, and served on the itSMF UK Management board as the chair of the conference sub-committee which organised the itSMF UK conference in Blackpool in 1999.


As a consultant, I see different organisations in different industry verticals, at different stages of the maturity road in terms of their service management journey. Working with different organisations, one thing is very clear to me, the need for a practical approach to the guidance and support offered to the service management community by the itSMF UK.

It is my strong belief that the itSMF UK is the organisation that can and should take a lead in understanding the daily challenges faced by organisations and look at how it can deliver to them.

I would like the opportunity to give back to the service management community the experience gathered over 20 years in this industry in Europe, and North America.

I have over 15 years experience in the Service Desk industry and running service desks for high-tech companies such as QAS, Trigold, Compaq and Gateway. I currently run the EMEA operation for TechExcel a major service desk software vendor. I have industry certifications such as ITIL Expert, ISO 20000, SDI Service Desk Manager and Prince2 together with hands-on experience and I have worked with a large number of corporations throughout the world to plan and implement effective service desk software systems.

I think I can add a lot of experience both from working in the industry and from a vendor perspective.

Before joining TechExcel I have run service desks for high-tech companies such as QAS, Trigold, Compaq and Gateway. I currently work as a Senior Operations Manager for TechExcel, Inc. Through both industry certifications such as ITIL, ISO 20000 and Prince2 together with hands-on experience, I have worked with a large number of corporations throughout the world to plan and implement effective service desk software systems. My areas of expertise include managing large help desk operations, implementing quality measurements, service desk software rollouts and training service desk manager. Aside from the IT Service Management side, I also chair for the Kensington and Chelsea Independent Custody Visitor Panel (www.icva.org.uk) and a governor for St. Stephen's CE Primary school in Lambeth.
