Ken Holmes

I am an independent ITSM consultant with over 20 years' experience in the IT industry. I have worked for many large and small organisations in the private and public sectors, including several of the major outsourcers. I am a qualified ITIL V3 Expert and ISO/IEC 20000 consultant and auditor and co-author of the recently-published BSI book "IT service management for small IT teams". I presented at this year's ITSMF UK Conference.
I would be interested in trying to widen the appeal of the ITSMF from mainly larger organisations to also cover smaller IT teams, of which government figures show there are about ten times as many. My main focus is Midlands-based; over the last 12 months I have completed IT service management assignments at Wilkinson's and the University of Nottingham.

I wish to be considered, along with any other applicants, for the role of Vice Chair of the Central Region. I have over 15 years' service management experience, the last eight in the Services ESC. I chaired the first itSMF UK special interest group, setting this up five years ago, and have also been a member of the Management Board. I have experience of how the itSMF UK works, as a volunteer, and also working with various members of the UK office.
I have spoken at various events over the last 5 years and know some of the things that make a successful event.
