Service Catalogues and Service Portfolios

Service catalogue, service portfolio and service level management are the essential elements of the relationship between IT and the business. Without these processes in place, it is increasingly difficult to define what IT services are available to the business and on what basis.

But the relationship between service catalogues and service portfolios is often poorly understood, and this can lead to confusion and misunderstanding. This seminar explains how these concepts inter-relate, and helps attendees to build a solution that suits their specific business needs

Key learning outcomes of this seminar include:

  • Understand what service portfolio and service catalogues do and how they operate
  • Understand the interfaces and dependencies between service portfolio, service catalogue and service level management
  • Learn how service catalogues relate to many other service management processes
  • Understand what a service catalogue and a service portfolio look like
  • Learn what you need to define in your service catalogue
  • Learn why you need a service portfolio to underpin your service catalogue
  • Discover the skill profiles of effective service portfolio and service catalogue managers
