itSMF UK 'The Human Factor' Seminar Tuesday 22nd September 2009

itSMF UK would like to invite you to 'The Human Factor' seminar. Most people and enterprises realise that success is founded upon the efficient and effective deployment of resources - and that some of the most important resources are the "soft squidgy bits". Book by the end of August for a special 15% discount off the full delegate price!

In recent years, responsibility for the individual's development has shifted from what used to be the Personnel Department (now HR) onto the individual themselves together with their line manager. HR tends to be more focused on overall corporate requirements, reward mechanisms, etc.

So what should we, as managers or individuals, be doing in order to develop and nurture the skills and capabilities that we need to survive and thrive in the ever-changing world?

Speakers on the day will be:

  • Mark Haddad, Smatra Training: 'What's in it for me?'
  • Linda King, G2G3: 'Is your workforce preparing to take flight or fight?'
  • Aidan Lawes, Service Management Evangelist: 'Professionalism in IT and IoSM'
  • Leeds City Council: 'Aspire, SFIA in action'
  • Kevin Holland, NHS NPfIT: 'Developing Professionalism in public sector IT - Learning and Sharing'

In this event, the speakers will articulate some of the strategies that have been adopted by enterprises, the moves that are happening within the industry to drive Professionalism within IT and some individual success stories.
