Welcome to the South West & South Wales Regional Group

I thought it would be an appropriate time to review the progress of this regional group over the last 2 years and look forward to the second half of 2011 and 2012.

The number of delegates attending the regional conferences has stabilised around 30 and the levels are very much dependent on location so we will try to arrange meetings around the M4 / M5 corridors.

During the 2010 we have met at the following locations and covered the following topics (all which can be reviewed on the itSMF UK web site):

March 2010 - AXA, Bristol incorporating the Service Level Management (SLM) Special Interest Group

June 2010 - Met Offce, Exeter looking at Supplier Management and Software Licensing

November 2010 - Sungard, Chippenham incorporating the Transition Mgt Special Interest Group

My thanks go to all of the sponsoring organisations / speakers for the success of these meetings.

Equally the remainder 2011 is looking to be as topical as ever with a return to Devon and Cornwall Police in Exeter in September where the theme for the meeting will be 'Aligning ITIL with the Business' and then visiting Altradius in Cardiff in November for a meeting covering Software Tools and Service Transition and meeting our objectives for this year of having a meeting in Wales.

Hosts / Sponsors for 2012 would be most welcome
