Student of the Year

Paul Rappaport Award for Contributions to Service Management

This award is named in memory of the first winner of the award and is given to the individual who, in the judge's view, has made a sustained and outstanding contribution over a number of years to the field of IT Service Management. There is no shortlist for this award, nor are nominations made public.

Service Management Champion of the Year

The Service Management Champion Award is for an individual service management professional who, in the judge's view, has made the most outstanding contribution within the Service Management industry during the year.

Project of the Year

This Award is aimed at customer organisations implementing solutions internally, and is awarded to the organisation that, in the view of the judges, has implemented the most challenging/successful Service Management Project during the preceding year.

As the Project of the Year is the most in depth award we have put together a timetable for all nominations. Please note these dates as they will have to be strictly adhered too.

  • 6th October 2006 - all short-listed nominations will submit their final submission for Project of the Year. The shortlist will be required to supply a detailed description of the objectives, the challenges faced and overcome, the method of implementation, lessons learned and the objectives achieved by the project. The judges take into account all this elements as well as other factors such as the degree of outside assistance and the maturity of the marketplace. The shortlist nominations are envisaged to have a 10 minutes presentation slot at the Annual Conference & Exhibition. Terms and conditions on application.
  • 14th November 2006 - all short-listed nominations will be given 10 minutes on Tuesday 14th November 2006 to present their project.
  • 14th November 2006 - Gala Evening. All awards will be announced.

It covers innovative ideas that have been implemented within the IT Service Management arena with results, giving clear evidence of the benefits, including financial, that have flowed from the development of this project, product or service.
