Winner of the Paul Rappaport Lifetime Achievement in IT Service Management award, Sharon Taylor, tells itSMF UK how it feels to win: "I think for any of us in this industry the pinnacle of our careers is to win an award like the Paul Rappaport award. I am extremely honoured that the work I have done over the last few years was thought important enough to deserve an award like this".
Northampton University won the Innovation of the Year for the 'World's First Masters Degree in IT Service Management.' Sue Bailey talks about how it feels to be recognised; "I am absolutely thrilled, we worked really hard in the last few years trying to bring ITIL and IT skills to young people and make them ready for a career in the industry."
The Submission of the Year award went to Lloyds TSB for its 'Lean Working in Service Management' whitepaper. Simon Adams and Andrew Mullen had a few words to say on behalf of their team. "We are absolutely delighted to win, to be honest it was the cherry on the cake as it's been a fantastic year for IT service delivery and Lloyds TSB."
Steve Denham from Fujitsu was awarded Service Management Champion of the Year; he was amazed to win, "I was completely blown away! I had no expectations to win at all. I am really, really pleased for the service management team, these guys deliver on a day-to-day basis, so this is really for them - and they deserve it."
Project of the Year winners, European Central Bank, were also pleased at the recognition of their company's efforts. Jean-luc Gerardy commented, "We are happy to win this award as we have all been working very hard - the pressure is now relieved for a little while."
Trainer of the Year, Caspar Braithwaite felt, "Overjoyed! Overwhelmed to be nominated, overwhelmed to be shortlisted and very very proud to have won this year!"
