About the Presentation

HM Revenue and Customs has one of the largest IT Service environments in the UK. Collecting £457 billion of Revenue in 2007-08 and protecting UK frontiers 24/7 IT service management environments don't get much more challenging or visible. This is the story of that service and of one of the largest outsourcing arrangements in the world.

About the Speaker

Mark Hall - As Director of Information Technology at HM Revenue and Customs, Mark's role combines the delivery of IT Services & Security, with that of Commercial and Contract management.

Mark joined the Civil Service from the Utility industry where he held a number of senior IT leadership roles in both UK and International organisations.

A Chartered IT and HR Professional, with a MBA from the University of Birmingham, Mark has been closely involved with ITIL and the IT Service Management Industry since the early 1990's and is a former Chairman of ITSMF UK and acknowledged industry expert.

 

Andrew Levitt - Andrew is a Vice President with Capgemini responsible for all IT operational services delivered through Aspire, HM Revenue & Custom's contract with Capgemini for the provision of IT services. Andrew has held a number of senior positions within Capgemini both globally and within the UK. As an IT professional with a Masters Degree from UMIST Andrew has led the development of Service Management within Aspire and has been a key contributor in the development of Service Management within the broader Capgemini Group.
