Presentation Synopsis: Adam sets the context of IT capability management and staff development in the bigger picture, that of the Global IT profession. This profession has unique challenges and also opportunities for those professionals with the best blend of experience, qualification, certification and business savvy. Adam builds on this by describing some of the latest trends in capability management to ensure companies utilise and grow their greatest asset: their people.

Speaker Biography: BCS Director for Professionalism in IT

Adam Thilthorpe joined BCS as a key account manager in 2005 but now leads the development of the Institute’s professionalism in IT initiative. He speaks regularly at BCS and industry seminars and conferences engaging with companies and organisations that employ IT practitioners. Presentations have been made to public and private sector conferences, all staff briefings for companies as diverse as VISA, COLT Telecomms and the Ministry of Justice as well as BCS specialist groups. Adam raises awareness of the changes in the profession; the challenges and the opportunities.

Adam gained his early experience in the City of London with financial institutions JP Morgan Chase and Co and Georgeson Shareholder.
