Biography

Description of Role and Responsibilities:

I have worked here since August 2007 covering for Sharon Shaw who is away on maternity leave. My main responsibilities include liaising between customers and suppliers to ensure we have ample stock to supply customer demand, as well as administering updates to our new webpage. I am the main contact for customer enquiries regarding any new or old publications and I am also one of the itSMF representatives for the quarterly PESC meetings where it is my duty to take the minutes. I conduct all the administration and secretarial support where required with regard to Publications.

Average Day:

As with any administration post, a substantial part of my day is spent responding to e-mails; this would normally include managing customer queries, processing the books orders and distributing them accordingly. I also manage all the requests for electronic media and the white paper and case study submissions which we receive. Once the orders have been processed I work closely with the dispatch bay and assist when necessary. I will be working closely with the Publications Manager to organise the new publications and special offers which we are trying to promote with the Marketing Department.

What do you enjoy most?

I really take pleasure in my role and especially working with my colleagues to provide an important and useful service to our members. I particularly enjoy the conversations I have with customers regarding publications queries and the positive response gained from the service I provide.
