Chris Roberts

Biography
Description of Role and Responsibilities:
I am the WebServices Manager For the itSMF UK .My responsibilities include developing and managing the
itSMF UK Website, the
itSMF International website (on behalf of the International Board),and the
ISO/IEC 20000 Website .
I manage the regional meetings from a Business Development perspective. This includes close liaison with the Regional Chairs and the events team to ensure that Regional meetings are put together, but also includes helping the Regional chairs to develop their region and meetings and to drive member services through that region.
On the itSMF International front I act as a liaison point for all itSMF Chapters relating to the delivery of information through the International website, to ensure a consistent communication channel with itSMF International, their representatives and with all other Chapters (fully fledged, developing and applying).
Average Day:
I normally firstly check my three e-mail boxes and answer questions both from itSMF members/Chapters as well as fielding general ITIL qualifications. Then I will review the websites to add or update any authorised content as well as reviewing Industry websites (OGC, TSO, APM Group) for new key news articles.
With my work for Regionals I will talk to the Events team and the Regional Chairs to get updates both about future as well as past meetings. With 10 regions (each having 4 meetings a year) I am regularly out facilitating at these meetings, which are shared between myself, Ben Clacy and Megan Pendlebury.
With my International hat I work closely with the Board, especially Keith Aldis to review where we are on various projects, as most of the websiteseither are in the process of being upgraded or at early planning stages. I am in contact with the Chapters (including Emerging ones) on a daily basis as their are a lot of new initiatives planned
What do you enjoy most?
I like the variety of work and having the opportunity to facilitate at Regional meetings and interact with itSMF members. I also enjoy working with the International Chapters and try to encourage the community links between the existing and new chapters.
Outside the working hours I work as a Motor sport Press Photographer Photographer covering BTCC & British GT/F3 Events.
