Cheryl Bye
Senior Operations Administrator

Biography
Description of Role and Responsibilities:
I am responsible for a team of six administrators who cover a range of duties. The roles of the team are Qualifications, Publications, itSMF Memberships, ISM Memberships, ITIL badge requests and Dispatch.
Each area is busy and varied with different demands on the teams' administration duties. Each role handles administration for one or more of the many boards, committees and panels attached to the itSMF and the ISM. For example, working with the ISO/IEC 20000 Qualification and Certification Scheme involves meetings and administration for The Accreditation Panel, The Exam Panel, The Technical Panel, The Standards Management Board, The Qualifications and Certification Committee and also the meetings for Accredited Course Providers which are all held quarterly here in the office.
As well as my own duties, I dip into each role as and when necessary to keep up-to-date with any changes and to help out during busy times.
Average Day:
The first thing that I do when I get in is to go through all my e-mails and prioritise and respond as necessary.
During the course of the day, I'll deal with my workload as it comes in either by e-mail or from a member of the team and occasionally through another member of staff. These will generally be problems or queries the staff have, database updates, database queries, spreadsheets, staffing, holidays, holiday cover and meetings etc…
What do you enjoy most?
My role is varied and each day is different which keeps it interesting.
