Ben Clacy

Chief executive

Ben joined the itSMF UK in 2006 to lead the business development side of the business. Over this time he has managed the sales, marketing, events and membership areas of itSMF UK before taking over the operational management of the organisation as deputy chief executive in August 2010, becoming chief executive in December 2010. Ben has also served as company secretary to itSMF International since May 2010. Before he joined itSMF UK, Ben held a number of operational and business development roles within the commercial sector including large-scale programme management, channel management in the banking and payment software sectors, procurement and management of large operational teams. When not immersed in the world of IT Service Management, Ben can be seen trying to control three young children and, whilst it has been some years since active duty, he still has his kit ready for when Martin Johnson or Andy Flower come knocking (it could still happen!)
